Moving and Living in Arizona - SHOWING YOUR HOME IN THIS UNPRECEDENTED TIME of COVID-19
If you have your home on the market and you are living in it we are doing things much differently.
A lot of you are working from home and may even have a kid or 3 with you because daycares and schools are closed. Because of this we are limiting the times buyers can access your home and putting in place some safety protocols.
We’ve always done walkthrough videos so potential buyers can view your home virtually however we’re making them a little longer and showing as much as we can so a potential buyer feels like they are there at your home without stepping foot inside. This allows the buyers to screen your home and you’ll have only the best, qualified ones come into your home.
When we first put your home on the market it will go in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) on a Thursday. This will allow the Listing to get out to all the websites buyers use and Realtors along with their buyer clients will be well aware that your home is available for sale. This will give them time to set up an appointment to show your home over the weekend.
Showing windows will be from 12-5pm on the first Saturday and Sunday your home is on the market. Realtors and buyers will need to make an appointment to see your home. There will be no overlapping appointments AND we will be discouraging showings with kids. This will enable us to limit the number of people in your home at a given time and the touches.
We just did this on a new occupied home this past weekend and had 19 buyers come through with their Realtors and have an accepted contract. It works!
If for some reason your home does not sell on the first weekend we will have a showing window of 1-2 hours during the weekdays or on certain days as to not disrupt your family and downtime after you finish up working form home. Then we’ll repeat with a weekend showing window if needed.
We highly suggest that you disinfect all surfaces, knobs and doors after each showing window. Even before Covid-19 you should have been doing this.
Thank you for watching. Please stay safe and we will get through this together!
